Bradford Bulls director Kate Hardcastle is hosting the Super League club’s first charity fashion show tomorrow to widen its fanbase and introduce rugby league to more women.
Designers from New York, London and Yorkshire will be showcased in the Provident Stadium’s Coral Stand during The Secret Garden fashion show for ovarian cancer charity The Eve Appeal. It has been organised by the Bradford businesswoman, who joined the Bulls’ board as a non-executive director in January and pledged to devote 20 days of her time over 12 months to boost the club’s brand and fanbase.
The event will be New York-based fashion designer Danilo Gabrielli first show outside London, while Debenhams is bringing its Diversity campaign to the catwalk in Bradford.
Bradford’s Bombay Stores will also be involved creating an Asian-styled garden scene. The event, compered by BBC presenter Katherine Hannah, will also include a performance by Glee-style group LS8 – featuring Bulls’ coach Francis Cummins’ daughter Gabrielle. Girl band Voxe will also be modelling fashion, alongside some of the wives and girlfriends of Bulls’ players.
Tickets are from the Bulls box office for £10 or £20 with VIP entry, a goody bag and seating.
