An apprentice has scooped a regional award recognising his work at two Bradford hospitals.
Mohammed Afsar, 27, took the top prize in the NHS Yorkshire and Humber Apprenticeship Awards 2013 when he won the Estates Apprentice of the Year.
Mr Afsar said: “I am over the moon to receive this award. I have tried my best throughout my four-year apprenticeship and am delighted to have been recognised regionally for all my hard work.
“This award means a great deal to me and I would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone in the hospital’s estates department who supported me along the way.”
He collected his award at a ceremony which took place recently at the Marriott Hotel in Leeds.
