Police want to speak to a man who was reported as acting ‘strangely’ by a 12-year-old girl who watched him take a photograph of himself with a horse.
Officers say that the man, who was driving a silver Vauxhall Astra, pulled up next to a field on Roper Lane, Queensbury, where the girl was looking at horses in a field last Monday at about 6pm.
He asked her whether thehorse belonged to her before taking a photograph of himself with the animal.
The incident was reported to police because the girl found his behaviour was ‘strange’ after hearing about another incident in the area, reported on a police Facebook page, on Sunday, April 28.
Police say on that day, a man pulled up in his car and spoke to an 11-year-old girl on Hillcrest Drive when he shouted at her to get in the vehicle.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We wish to emphasise that this incident may not be linked to the incident reported on this Facebook page and may be completely innocent.”
The man is described as an Asian male, in his late 20s or early 30s, of medium build and 5ft 6ins tall.
He had a distinctive leather strap across his right wrist, was wearing a sleeveless Puffa-style jacket and short sleeved grey top and jeans.
