A world class sprinter has led a motivational coaching session at Oakbank School.
Olympic gold medal-winning relay runner Jason Gardener was at the Keighley school last Thursday to stage athletics training in the sports hall.
The session was attended by 60 year five pupils from Oak-worth Primary School, as well as selected Oakbank students.
Jason was then special guest at Oakbank’s sports and technology presentation evening at Keighley rugby union club, where he handed out sport and PE prizes.
Jason, pictured left at Oakbank with Oakworth Primary School pupils and Oakbank sixth former Nathan Connely, was part of the gold medal-winning GB team at the Athens Olympics in 2004 in the 4 x 100 metre relay. He has also won gold at World, European and Commonwealth Games.
