A support event for young people who hear voices takes place tomorrow.
Voice Collective, a London-based project supporting children and young people who hear voices or see visions, is coming to Bradford to host the event, in partnership with the Bradford Early Intervention in Psychosis Team.
Project manager Rachel Waddingham said: “We’re really excited to be coming up to Bradford. We decided to team up with Bradford Early Intervention Service after receiving a number of requests from young people in Bradford and Leeds.
“The event will include speakers who will share their own experience of hearing voices or seeing visions, space to look at how we can challenge the stigma surrounding voice-hearing and time to plan a way forward to develop a group that reaches out to young people who may feel scared to open up about what they’re experiencing.”
The event runs from 1.30pm to 4.30pm at Culture Fusion, Thornton Road, Bradford. Young people, family members and youth workers are welcome.
