British Transport Police has released an image of a suspect after a conductor was assaulted at Shipley railway station.
The conductor, a 24-year-old Keighley man, had asked two men on the Leeds-Bradford Forster Square service to remove their feet from seats. One of them pushed the conductor hard in the shoulder.
Investigating officer, PC David Smith, said, “This was a cowardly assault on a member of staff, who was simply trying to do his job. BTP take assaults on rail staff, whether verbal or physical, very seriously.”
The assault took place at around 3.15pm on Saturday, April 27. Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP on 0800 40 50 40, or by texting 61016 quoting B3/NE of 08/05/13, or contacting Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
