The RSPCA in Bradford is appealing for good homes for its abandoned cats and dogs.
The appeal came after a cat and her two kittens were found in a carrier box on the doorstep of the Bradford branch in Mount Street. Terry Singh, general manager at the branch, said: “When I arrived at work to work I found the box which contained the small tabby cat and the two black and white kittens. The mother must have been quite frightened, but at least someone brought them to us.
“We are just grateful that nothing happened to them, they are all OK now we have fed then and they are in the family unit now. We are inundated with cats and we are always looking for people to come forward and give them a good home.”
The centre already homes about 90 cats alone along with its other animals.
