An eyecatching footbridge connecting two Bradford communities has been shortlisted for a design award. The red Manchester Road bridge is a contender for the 2013 Structural Steel Design Awards.
The awards are open to steel-based structures built by UK or Irish steelworkers and the winner will be announced at Madame Tussauds in London on July 9. Bradford Council's in-house engineers worked with transport charity Sustrans to design and install the bridge.
