A former sub-postmaster at Harden Post Office has been warned he might go to jail for stealing £15,401 and committing fraud to cover his tracks.
Anthony Towler, 27, of Lane Ends, Bingley, will be sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on May 31 after pleading guilty to two offences yesterday.
Towler admitted theft of the money from the Post Office and false accounting, between September 1, 2010, and August 29 last year.
His solicitor Julian White asked for sentence to be adjourned for the preparation of a probation report.
Judge Robert Bartfield, extended Towler’s bail, telling him: “You will have to prepare yourself for a custodial sentence, if that is what the judge decides on the day.”
