The Kebabeesh restaurant in Greengates has raised £1,222 with its fifth annual charity evening in aid of St Gemma’s Hospice.
The event featured Asian cuisine, live entertainment, an auction and a raffle.
Restaurant owner Jay Durrani began supporting the hospice after his mother, Zahida Shahnaz, was cared for there.
Tracie Harrison, fundraiser for the hospice, said: “This is the fifth consecutive year that Jay has supported the hospice through the Kebabeesh Charity Evening and in those years Jay, his team and customers have raised an incredible £5,700 for patients at St Gemma’s. We’re very grateful for this incredible support.”
