A guided walk to Swartha Wood will give people an insight into recent nature and heritage work at the historic Silsden site.
The guide will point out tree planting sites and interesting landscape features during the circular walk on May 27. He will tell people what has already been learned about the ancient woodland during recent research.
The Swartha Wood project involves groups including Bradford Environment Action Trust and the Forest of Bradford. Volunteers have been taught traditional skills such as wood turning, woodland management and botanical surveying so they can help with the long-term care of the woods.
The five-mile walk will begin at 10am at the car park in the centre of Silsden and is expected to last between two and three hours.
