Police are investigating after a man paid for a meal at Pizza Hut with fake bank notes.
A man and three women went to the chain’s outlet at Birstall’s Junction 27 retail park and ordered £32 of food.
In payment, the man left two £20 notes, described as “poor fakes” by police, and the group left before staff could apprehend them.
A 20-year-old Dewsbury man has since been arrested on suspicion of tendering counterfeit currency. He has been bailed pending further inquiries into the incident which occurred last Friday.
