A housing development bid in Keighley has been rejected because it could put the users of a nearby public footpath in danger.
J Wallace’s plans for three, three storey houses on a former scrapyard off Marriners Walk, near the River Worth, were refused on Tuesday.
Officers felt the increased use of the path, which was registered as a public walkway in 2006, by vehicles accessing the houses would “harm pedestrian safety”.
The road is narrow, and the application made no mention of any proposals to improve the path.
