Budding models in the Bradford district could be one step closer to their catwalk dream this Sunday.
The search is continuing for contestants with winning smiles and head-turning looks for this year’s Bradford Modelsearch competition.
Now in its 12th year, the contest is being run in conjunction with the the Telegraph & Argus, the Kirkgate Centre in Bradford and DK Model Agency.
People can take part by simply downloading the entry form using the link below, filling it in and bringing it along to the heats in the Kirkgate Centre, where registration starts from 9.45am.
Those who impress the judges will be asked to return for the finals which take place at the Kirkgate Centre on Sunday, May 19.
The panel of judges for the finals will include representatives from DK Model Agency, Modelsearch, previous winners and retailers from the Kirkgate Centre, who will be choosing eight winners.
The finalists will also be put to the public vote in the T&A Readers’ Choice category and photographs will be published in a supplement in the T&A on Friday, May 10.
Shopping vouchers for £500 will be divided between a male and female winner from each of the four age categories. And DK Models will potentially choose one male and one female from all the finalists to go on their books.
Kathy Holdsworth, owner of DK Model Agency, said: “With this competition there is so much scope for people of all ages. We have models on our books from three-months-old to adults of 83, so we are really looking for any age. We are also always looking for more male models and a small family of models as our clients do sometimes prefer real families.
“There is a variety of avenues that our models could branch into. We are not just about fashion modelling, you could be featuring on an advert for furniture or a new car or possibly be chosen to be an extra in a television programme. We have recently been working with supermarket brand Aldi who really like Yorkshire models.”
The free competition is divided into four age categories – four to six, seven to ten, 11 to 15 and 16 plus, with no upper age limit.
