Bradford-based acoustic singer/songwriter Ed Stones has been honing his craft and playing gigs around the region over the past couple of years.
Deciding to expand into a full band format, he met with three Bradford musicians who already operated as a working band. Taking their band name from a Bradford postcode, the lads set about working Ed’s songs into a full band sound, as well as penning their own songs together.
The resulting sound ranges from ‘alternative country rock’ to rockabilly and punk, via some old school rock ‘n’ roll, topped off with catchy melodies, quirky lyrics and lush harmonies.
The band’s debut EP Thirteen Burning Trees was released in January.
- Ed Stones And The BD3 will be at the Shipley Pride pub on Saturday, May 18.
