It’s a busy season for Bingley Little Theatre, which is also putting on A Man For All Seasons this month.
Directed by Sandra Williams, the play examines a man’s struggle to balance his life between politics and conscience during the reign of Henry VIII.
The drama is set towards the end of the life of Sir Thomas More, the 16th Century Chancellor of England, the country’s highest political office. Although he’s loyal to the King, More’s conscience and morale conviction prevented him from supporting him in his desire to divorce his first wife to marry Ann Boleyn. Subsequently, More paid the ultimate price.
The powerful period drama runs at Bingley Arts Centre from May 13 to 18. Ring (01274) 567983.
