What do you get when you put three sets of characters through three crucial moments?
In Bingley Little Theatre’s case, you get three comic vignettes which will be performed by the society next week.
Duets, written by Peter Quilter, is a comedy in three acts. Performed by a cast comprised of David Brett, Deborah Mouat, Mark Allan, Laura Judge, Jill Whitehouse and Tim Gatti, the “gloriously funny” play examines the chaotic world of love, relationships and why the grass is never greener.
“Duets is an hilarious tribute to the strength and madness of the human heart in three comic vignettes,” says director Richard Walsh.
“Jonathon and Wendy are on a blind date and hoping to get it right this time even though they’ve never got it right before; Barry isn’t really interested in women but Janet sees that as no reason to stop trying; and Angela is marrying for the third time to the dismay of brother, amidst a barrage of bad omens and a dress resembling a parachute.”
- Duets is on at the Bingley Little Theatre’s Studio Theatre Upstairs at Bingley Arts Centre on Saturday, May 11, and Sunday, May 12, at 7.30pm. Ring (01274) 567983.
