Drinkers can raise an extra special tipple to celebrate a rugby club reaching an important game this weekend.
Supporters of Baildon RUFC can sink a bottle of Baildon Back at Twickenham to mark the club reaching the RFU Junior Vase final on Saturday.
The club won the prize last year and this weekend are up against Gloucestershire side Newent.
Club sponsor The Junction pub at Baildon has rebranded its own Junction Blonde and has raised £1,000 with collections in the pub to help get the team to Twickenham.
Landlord Tommy Brown will be on the players’ coach on Saturday, which he said would be a “real treat”.
Club chairman Harry Ormerod said: “I think it’s a terrific idea.”
He said Newent was unknown to the local side and it was difficult to say how they would fare against them.
Club secretary Cath O’Connell added: “We’ve got a lot of money to find to fund this trip, and Tommy’s been helping.”
