Schoolchildren were given a helping hand to create felt scenes of the local landscape as part of a giant mural which will be displayed at Bradford’s City Hall.
Women over the age of 55 visited Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School last month to create and design a piece of artistic work, consisting of a felt wall hanging which will be made of 20 panels.
This will represent the memories of older people and the textile industry in Bradford.
Each of the panels will be created in different schools throughout the whole of the Bradford district and will eventually be stitched together to form a final piece which will be hung in the Banqueting Suite in City Hall, Bradford, to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
