Young people not in education, employment or training, or NEETS, have been offered a new opportunity at Keighley Campus, Leeds City College.
Keighley teenager Sean Davies, who is himself a student at the college, will be running a course designed to give people a qualification in DJ-ing and peer mentoring.
The training is open to 16 to 18-year-old NEETS and the first sessions begin on Tuesday.
Sean, 19, a former Oakbank School pupil who is a radio DJ and urban music producer, said each person who takes part in the course would receive a £200 bursary.
“The peer mentoring will run for four weeks for three hours each week, and the DJ-ing will continue for six weeks for three hours a week,” he said.
Eligible young people interested in can contact Sean on davies2010@msn.com or call 07742 125716.
