A jury was today considering its verdicts in the trial of a Bradford businessman and his son accused of flouting planning controls to run an illegal indoor market.
Judge John Potter sent the jurors home overnight at 4.15pm yesterday to resume their deliberations at 10.30am.
Mohammed Saeed, 55, and Khalid Saeed, 27, deny breaking the law by ignoring a Bradford Council Stop notice to continue their Tradex business at Beckside Business Park, in Beckside Road, Lidget Green, Bradford. The jury was told that it was the first Stop Notice issued by the council in 20 years.
The defendants, both of Stainbeck Lane, Leeds, plead not guilty to contravening the notice, between July 14 and 17, and July 21 and 24.
The trial continues.
