A Harden couple staged a fundraising event at St Saviour’s Church Hall for a charity which helped them when their baby daughter was admitted to hospital.
Matthew and Sara Greenwood held a chocolate tea party, which coined in £1,100 for the Sick Children’s Trust.
Their daughter, Lauren, now seven months old, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary last September with a congenital heart defect.
Both parents and Lauren’s two-year-old sister Abigail stayed at the hospital for three nights and then got a room at Eckersley House, one of the trust’s facilities.
Mr Greenwood said: “It went really well and exceeded our expectations. We would like to thank everyone who attended – we are so grateful for their support.”
He added that Lauren was doing well. “She may need more surgery but she’s a very happy girl,” he said.
