Bradford Festival Choral Society is singing in Ilkley for the first time on Saturday, May 11, at 7.30pm in St Margaret’s Church Hall.

They will be presenting an evening of favourite choral music including works composed from the 16th century to the 21st, with extracts from Mozart’s Requiem, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Orff’s Carmina Burana, some opera choruses and works by Handel, Monteverdi, Tony Hewitt Jones, Will Todd and George Shearing.

The choir’s musical director Thomas Leech is a distinguished conductor and organist who has made numerous recordings and broadcasts on radio and TV. For this concert he will be playing the organ while the conductor will be the choir’s regular accompanist, Chris Pulleyn.
