Walkers can look forward to Otley's biggest ever festival of walking in June.
The 2013 Walking Festival will offer a choice of 53 walks and other events between Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 30.
Designed to offer routes for all ages and abilities, the treks range from short town-based strolls to strenuous moorland hikes.
Many of the walks will have a theme, with The Troll Stroll aimed at families while an Early Birds on the Chevin will let bird-watchers experience the dawn chorus – and sunrise – on the Chevin ridge.
Festival chairman Ruth Blackwell said: "This is the biggest programme since we started as a one-off Millennium event in the year 2000.
"It’s a really varied programme with something for everyone. Along with old favourites, like the Almscliffe Crag Circular, Railway Footpath Walk, and Wayzgoose Weave, there are hosts of new themed walks.
“It says a lot for the reputation of Otley Walking Festival that each year new leaders are keen to offer their favourite walks and to give their time voluntarily.."
Free festival 2013 programmes are available from libraries, Tourist Information Centres, and some local businesses anc can be seen online at the website otleywalkingfestival@btck.co.uk
