A town centre street in Keighley was cordoned off this morning after a man was found laying in the street with head injuries.

Police were called to Alice Street at 6.37am after a 42-year-old was found unconscious on the floor.

Police believe the man may have suffered a medical episode such as a fit or seizure, and he is being treated at Airedale Hospital.

The road was blocked with police tape between the Keighley College building and Lord Street shortly after 8am, and two officers were re-directing traffic from the scene.

A police spokesman said: “The man has been taken to hospital and enquiries are ongoing as we try to establish the cause.”
