Police are to publish photographs of parents parking dangerously outside a Bradford school.
Despite police and Council wardens issuing tickets for six months, parents continue to park dangerously outside St John’s Primary School in Dawson Lane, Bierley. After a meeting with the head teacher Elizabeth Lawley over the issue, neighbourhood police are determined to change the attitude of parents who put children at risk.
A spokesman said: “We have agreed we will publish photographs of dangerous parking, and send officers to visit the registered keepers of vehicles photographed by children at the school or by residents. The head teacher will run a number of road safety awareness initiatives and will also publish photographs through the school.
“We will be producing a newsletter containing these photographs and distributing it around the local community so that those who park dangerously will have to account for their actions.”
