Daredevils are being challenged to walk on hot coals and raise cash for a children’s charity.
Caroline Wooler, landlady at the Cross Keys in Otley Road, Skipton, is seeking fearless folk to walk the 12ft line for the Little Heroes charity which supports children with cancer.
And she has already put her money where her mouth is – she took on the challenge last year.
“You can feel the heat but it’s not painful. It’s just mind over matter,” she said.
The event will take place at the pub on Saturday, May 11, and people wanting to take part must pick up a £10 sponsor form.
“I have eight volunteers so far. We need more. I’m hoping the pub can raise £1,000 and we have backing from Barclays Bank,” she added.
