A pub in Thornton has been taken over by four members of the same family.

Gary Simcoe, right, is the new landlord of the Timothy Taylor-owned White Horse. He is being joined by his chef brother Craig and sons Dan and Chris as they aim to make it a ‘must-visit’ gastro-pub. Dan and Chris are both stalwarts of the Keighley-based brewery – Dan has worked for six years in a number of its pubs, including managing the Royal Oak in Keighley, while Chris spent time behind the bar at the Woolly Sheep in Skipton.
