People with questions related to hearing problems have been invited to come to Airedale Hospital next week.
Airedale’s audiology team is encouraging patients, carers or health and social care professionals to drop-in during national Deaf Awareness Week, which runs from May 6 to 12.
Staff are hosting an information stand in the hospital’s outpatients wing, as part of a campaign by the UK Council of Deafness.
The stand will feature details about assisted hearing devices such as vibrating alarm clocks, special fire alarms, door bells and baby crying alerts. Lip reading classes will also be promoted.
The audiology team is willing to see visitors in between appointments during the week from 10am to 3pm.
