People can still donate to a hospital worker who had her hair shaved off to raise funds for cancer charities.
Jayne Bold, a senior support worker at Airedale Hospital’s theatre department, was sponsored by colleagues, patients and the public for the drastic hair cut. The cash will go to the Yorkshire Cancer Centre at St James’s Hospital in Leeds and her hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust to make wigs for children who have lost their hair through chemotherapy treatment or illness.
Jayne was inspired by her best friend Iona Daniels, who has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Jayne said: “I’d like to raise as much money as possible as it’s for such a good cause. Hopefully the money will go towards research that will help to find a cure for cancer which will help so many people in the future.”
