A Harden family will raise money for a charity very important to them when they host a chocolate tea party tomorrow .
The Sick Children’s Trust, who provided the Greenwoods with ‘Home from Home’ accommodation when their daughter Lauren was admitted to the Leeds General Infirmary in September 2010 with a congenital heart defect.
Mum Sara, 29, pictured with Lauren, said: “Lauren was just six days old when she collapsed suddenly. My husband Matthew, myself and our two year old daughter, Abigail, stayed at LGI for three nights then we managed to get a room at Eckersley House (one of the charity’s facilities).
“Being at the house was really important, as it meant Abigail could be with us so we could all stay together as a family.”
The event is at St Saviours Church Hall, Long Lane, from 2-4pm. Entry is £2.50.
