A young people's charity in Bradford is helping organisations and other groups across the distirct make a positive impact in their communities.
The Brathay Trust has joined forces with the National Citizen Service (NCS) and The Football League Trust, to supply other groups with young volunteers.
About 60 young volunteers, under the supervision of Brathay’s highly experienced team of youth workers, will offer a minimum of 40 hours of support to needy organisations in the Bradford area.
To get the partnership under way the Trust is now seeking Year 11 and 12 pupils wanting to get involved and gain great skills which will eventually help them get training, find jobs or be accepted into college or university.
Mark Bushell, of Brathay Trust said: “It's a great way of having fun this summer while getting invaluable skills at the same time.
"The activities that the young people will undertake will help grow their social awareness and understanding and give them real skills for life.
"The programme is designed to motivate them, build confidence, foster personal and wider social ambition and help them to pursue key goals.”
