A pilot scheme to crack down on dog-fouling and littering has started.
Environmental patrols run by a private security firm will issue £75 fixed penalty notices to anyone seen blatantly dropping litter or failing to pick up after their dog.
The six-month trial will run in parts of the area covered by Leeds City Council, including Guiseley, Rawdon, Yeadon, Otley, Pool-in-Wharfedale and Horsforth.
The areas where the scheme is being piloted were all chosen because of high levels of complaints about littering and dog-fouling.
