A life-saving scheme urgently needs more volunteers to come forward and learn community first aid.
Community first responders are people who live locally and can often reach patients requiring emergency medical care within a few minutes – usually faster than an ambulance would be able to get there.
There are currently three trained volunteers in Ilkley.
Now PACO First Aid, an Ilkley-based first aid training organisation, has linked up with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to organise a free first aid seminar for anyone who lives in Ilkley, or the surrounding area, at Ilkley Rugby Club on Wednesday, May 15, at 7pm.
If you wish to attend, contact Paula Colman at info@pacofirstaid.com or call (01943) 430425.
