Bradford Bulls will host a free Asian Mela and a show featuring local bands in the days after it stages its first major concert at the Provident Stadium.
The club had originally planned to hold three outdoor concerts over the Spring Bank Holiday, but that has now been reduced to one.
The club has already announced an 80s Strike Back gig on Saturday, May 25, featuring pop icons including Rick Astley and Belinda Carlisle, but yesterday owner Omar Khan said that would be followed by two free events – a Mela on the Sunday and a gig with local bands on Monday.
“When we bought the club from the administrator we said that we wanted to make the Provident Stadium the focal point for the whole Bradford community,” he said.
“Apart from the rugby, this is really the first opportunity for us to showcase the many plans we have for the stadium.”
