Talented young singers from across Bradford and Keighley are joining together in a gala concert at Holy Family Catholic School, Keighley tomorrow evening.
Singers from the award-winning Bradford Catholic Youth Choir will be joined by children from primary schools taking part in the Diocese of Leeds’ Schools Singing Programme – one of the largest choral programmes for children in the country.
The varied and entertaining programme will last for an hour and includes the debut performance of BCYC’s new junior choirs. Admission is free and the concert starts at 7pm at Holy Family Catholic School, Spring Gardens Lane, Keighley, BD20 6LH The Diocese of Leeds has the largest church programme of choral music for young people in the United Kingdom.
In total it maintains 53 choirs comprising over 2000 children meeting weekly.
There are 42 school choirs, five boys' choirs, five girls' choirs, a new choir school and a semi-professional adult choir.
