Budding film-makers are being urged to enter this year’s Co-operative Film Festival, held in partnership with the National Media Museum.
Young people aged 22 and under have until Friday, May 31, to submit entries for the festival, running from July 17-19.
Now in its 47th year, the festival showcases the talents of young film-makers and allows them to see their work on the big screen.
Entries of no more than six minutes long will be selected by a panel of film and media professionals.
Film-makers are encouraged to tackle issues that concern them, through genres including drama, documentary, animation, comedy, music video or silent movie.
Participants will take part in masterclasses hosted by film experts.
Festival organiser Laura Boonham said: “The Co-operative Film Festival keeps going from strength to strength, with the quality of films and the talent on show getting better and better every year.
“It has showcased the talents of thousands of youngsters and we urge both experienced movie-makers and those who have never made a film before to give it a go.”
