A man who cycled through the Pyrenees to raise money for disabled children had to brave ice, snow and sunburn.
James Gilmartin rode 540 miles from Paris to Lourdes in aid of Keighley Handicapped Children’s Pilgrimage Trust.
At the journey’s end he joined this year’s pilgrimage from local Roman Catholic churches to take up his usual position as a voluntary carer.
James, who lives in Shipley, raised about £1,300 and took part with 14 other cyclists riding for various Pilgrimage Trust branches.
He set out from Yorkshire in heavy snow and endured sub-zero temperatures in the first two days, but eventually the weather turned sunny.
