A 16-year-old Ilkley boy today appeared in court, accused of the attempted murder of a 12-year-old girl.
The teenager is also accused of committing an offence with the intention of committing a sexual offence and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was remanded in custody by magistrates sitting at Bradford Youth Court and will next appear before Bradford Crown Court on April 30.
The alleged offences relate to an incident on Sunday, when police were called shortly before 12noon to a report of an assault on a girl in Ben Rhydding.
