A Bradford landmark has been sold at auction for £35,000 above its guide price.
The grade II-listed Connaught Rooms in Manningham Lane was sold for £385,000.
The former Masonic hall (pictured) was one of a number of commercial properties up for sale at Pugh & Company’s April auction held at Leeds United Football Club.
Bidding was strong for the building, which dates from 1928, but the identity of the successful bidder has not been revealed.
Paul Thompson, director and auctioneer at Pugh & Company, said: “This property is an iconic piece of the local community in Bradford. We received a keen amount of interest in the build-up to the auction and it remained popular on the day.”
