An exhibition of art has popped up in a venue with a bit more bite than your usual gallery or museum.

Work by local artists is now on show at the Blue Dog Tattoo Studio in Bingley.

The tattoo and piercing studio recently moved to Industrial Street and is displaying local creations as tattoo artist Dale Cochrane is also an art lecturer at Bradford College.

The shop held an open day to showcase the work and spread the message of the importance of safe body art.

Staff were joined by the country’s leading body piercers Pierce Artist International and treated to music by Waiting for Wednesday.

Body piercer at the studio Terri Silvester said the studio would also give space over to local art makers to sell their work.

“We want to benefit local people and give them a choice,” she said.
