Riverdance is heading to the Alhambra in Bradford for a week of pulsating Irish stepdancing next year – two decades after the show first burst into public consciousness at the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin.
Producer Moya Doherty said: “The success of Riverdance across the whole world has gone beyond our wildest dreams. The fact that the show continues to draw and excite audiences is a tribute to every dancer, singer, musician, staff and crew member who have dedicated themselves to the show.
“This 20th Anniversary Tour is a thank you to our UK audiences and a celebration of what has been an incredible journey across two decades.”
Riverdance has been seen by more 2.9 million people in over 1,000 performances in 18 UK cities. The worldwide TV audience for Riverdance is in excess of 2 billion.
It will be at the Alhambra from October 14 to 19, 2014.
