Members of a Keighley scuba-diving club have been on the hunt for more wreckage from a crashed Second World War aircraft.
Keighley Sub-Aqua Club made a trip to Wastwater, in the Lake District, where three airmen died in 1945.
The dive was poignant as members of the Keighley branch of British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) have been in touch with families of two of the lost crew following a media appeal sparked by their first trip to the site.
Their second visit involved a search for the tail section of the Royal Navy Grumman Avenger aircraft. Group treasurer, Silsden man Graham Clay, said they were unable to locate the tail. However, the dive gave them an opportunity to better survey the site.
The plane was lost in January, 1945, when it crashed into a scree slope.
It was piloted by Barnard J Kennedy, from Ontario, Canada, and he lost his life alongside wireless operator Phillip Royston Mallorie and navigator Gordon Fell.
