District councillors have signed up to a campaign to stamp out dog fouling in Keighley villages.
They have provided cash to buy signs urging people to clean up after their pets while out walking.
The three councillors representing the Worth Valley spearheaded the campaign with cash from their ward action plan budget.
This was followed by investment from some of the councillors representing Craven Ward and Keighley East Ward.
Ward officer Noreen Akhtar said the signs would be placed on bus stops and walls in areas particularly prone to dog fouling.
They would be moved after about two weeks so they would have the maximum impact in each location.
Mrs Akhtar said Bradford Council street wardens and police would also patrol each area – often in plainclothes – to spot wrongdoers.
