Changes have been suggested to Bradford Council’s constitution.
The Council’s City Solicitor, Suzan Hemingway (right), has suggested a series of amendments to avoid duplication of work.
They include merging the Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee with the Social Care Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
Her report, to the Corporate Governance and Audit Committee, said recently a number of issues had gone to both scrutiny committees, creating a duplication of work.
It said: “Bradford is the only West Yorkshire council that has two separate committees for health and social care.”
The Bradford Licensing Panel and the Keighley and Shipley Licensing Panel would also be merged to form one Bradford District Licensing Panel.
