Activities at the Sue Belcher Community Centre on Bracken Bank Avenue include, Monday: Good Life Coffee Stop for the over-50s, with light breakfast and entertainment, 10am to 11.30am, transport available, phone 01535 667221. Zumba for over 50s, 1pm and 2pm; youth session, 6.30pm. Sunday: family fun day, noon-4pm, plant a wildflower meadow, lambs, food and entertainment.
Tuesday: Stay & Play Club for parents, carers and children aged under five, 10am to 2pm. Wednesday: Alleycats line dancing, 1.30-3.30pm, all welcome, beginners and intermediates. Contact Shirley (01535) 680686.
Lucy Fontaine is a ‘community agent’ working from the Sue Belcher Community Centre in Bracken Bank Avenue. A fun day on April 21 will offer people the chance to plant a wildflower meadow, see lambs or build a bird box. There will also be food and entertainment during the noon-4 pm event.
A new weekly session for all ages from birth to 90 will begin today at the Sue Belcher Centre.
Bracken Youth Volunteers will host the arts and crafts session, and invite people to pass on their skills to others.
