Organisers of popular schools history days are spreading their wings with their latest display of photographs. Keighley Schools Heritage will focus its April 21 event on schools in the outer districts of the Keighley area. There will be nostalgic pictures from schools in Laycock, Haworth, Oxenhope, Oakworth, Stanbury, Silsden, Cowling, Lotherdale and Sutton.
The event will run from 10am at the local studies library upstairs in Keighley Library on North Street. David Kirkley, one of the organisers, hoped people would take along their own items. He said: “We can copy them and add to our vital collection. Thanks to modern technology we can digitise photos and documents and make them available as a resource for individuals and schools."
