Bradford is taking its turn to host this year’s Yorkshire and the North-East Welsh Hymn-Singing Festival, or Cymanfa Ganu in Welsh.
It will be held at Calverley Methodist Church on Carr Road, which is in the North Bradford Methodist Circuit.
The Cymanfa will be on Saturday, May 11, from 2pm to 3.30pm and 4.45pm to 6.30pm with tea in the interval and afterwards. Most of the hymns are sung in Welsh, with readings, prayers and background to the hymns given in both languages.
Members of Bradford and District St David's Society also be taking part.
No tickets are needed, but there will be a collection.
