A small group staged a peaceful protest to coincide with Baroness Thatcher’s funeral yesterday.
The group met in Centenary Square and enjoyed a picnic wearing red clothing after Fabric director Gideon Seymour set up the event on social networking site, Facebook.
Mr Seymour said: “We held the picnic as the funeral was happening and because like a lot of others we are disturbed by the use of the public purse.
“There was a Twitter campaign called ‘Wear Red On Wed’, which we did, and I also created an event for Bradford as there wasn’t anything happening here.
“We sat on a bench near the mirror pool enjoying some nice food for a couple of hours until we got too cold.”
