Films from the CH Wood collection – which comprises several thousand hours of film and video tape, shot over eight decades by Bradford cameramen, producers and businessmen – are being shown as part of the city’s film festival.
David Wood, son of CH Wood, was at the National Media Museum yesterday for a screening by Yorkshire Film Archive of short retrospectives from the collection.
Sponsored by the Telegraph & Argus, there are three screenings of movies from the Yorkshire Film Archive’s CH Wood collection. The footage includes early moving pictures of Bradford’s Town Hall Square in 1897 and Bradford City’s 1911 FA Cup triumph.
The first two showings were yesterday and the third is tomorrow at Bradford Cathedral at 7pm.
